In the 1960s and 70s, skin-diver watches emerged as slim, affordable alternatives to professional dive watches. Many brands, including Blancpain, used the same suppliers for cases, bezels, and dials, leading to a shared design language: cushion or tonneau cases, luminous markers, acrylic crystals, and 200/300m water resistance. These vintage divers prioritized legibility and practicality, often with no crown guards.
